Before the next track meet at Bonduel on Tuesday May 19, 2009, a milestone will have been reached. Make that 100,000 hits have been made on this website. It's amazing.
Because of all of you supporters, fans, athletes, parents, and alumni, the "wfrunning" track and field and cross country website on ihigh will have hit the one hundred thousand mark for viewings.
It is with great pride that I, as the coach over the past 26 years in these two wonderful sports, sends out a huge thank you to everyone who has come by for a look, or contributed pictures, story ideas, and just plain old memories that may be cherished for the rest of my life.
Working on this site has been a labor of love for me. All the student athletes I have worked with at Weyauwega-Fremont High School over the past quarter century have given me the greatest of all gifts. Themselves and their belief in what I was selling. All these years, the kids from Wega High School have come to believe that with hard work, belief in themselves and teammates, and a never say die attitude when competing, that they would be successful and competitive.
And they have been. Sixteen CWC Championships, including eleven since 1999, have been captured during that time. Those championships certainly were not won on DaCoach's good looks and charm.
Thanks for viewing these pages and taking an interest in the "Tradition" built at Weyauwega-Fremont High School in Track & Field and Cross Country!!!!
100,000 hits. Oh what a country! |
